Description
Takbalunga is found in the plains of Western India. Seeds are used in diarrhea, gonorrhea and hemorrhoids. A drink is made from the seeds. It assuages thirst and improves taste of water. The seeds are collected, roasted and ground mixed with water and enough sugar to suit the taste. It soon develops into a mucilaginous mass several times its bulk. It is used as food. It is exceedingly nutritious.
